Joy is not desperate.

She is not afraid to be alone.

She is not going to let the image of her boyfriend Scott humping her roommate ruin her happiness.

Or at least that's what she keeps telling herself as she walks into a Seattle coffee shop where name-tagged couples are sitting and flirting. This is speed dating. And Joy is late.

Joy's first "date," Archer, has been waiting impatiently for her arrival. When she sits down, he brings out his laptop and launches a PowerPoint presentation on the financial advantages of hooking up with him. Joy is flabbergasted. Archer is obviously not a match. When the merciful bell rings, Archer moves on to his next date. But Joy's night is about to go from bad to worse.

Her next date makes his way to her table. It's Scott - her ex. Joy immediately tries to leave, but Scott convinces her to stay and listen to what he has to say. Now, in the middle of this crowded coffee shop, with other potential suitors listening in, Scott has just eight minutes to try to win Joy back.
